Music in the Moonlight is an annual themed outdoor dining and music extravagance which has built a very loyal community following since its inception in 1990.
Today, the event has grown into one of the must-attend parties in the Ashgrove district where “big kids” - school parents, their friends, neighbours and local business identities – let their hair down and mingle in a kid-free zone.
Some Moonlighters are so dedicated that costumes, table themes and grand entrance planning begin months before the event itself!
In 2009 the event attracted 500+ party goers. To cater for the event’s growing popularity and to access better facilities last year we moved venue to Mater Dei Ashgrove where the school yard transformed into a concert atmosphere - providing an outdoor stage, beer garden, chill lounge and catered and BYO outdoor dining spaces.
For the newcomers, Music in the Moonlight promises you and your friends a night to remember with great food, fantastic music, extraordinary outfits and the ultimate themed-party experience (ask anyone who's been!). Join a group, form one of your own or just come and enjoy the 'kid-free' evening. Importantly, nominate a table captain and provide their email and mobile details so that we can provide event updates.
In 2010 we celebrate our 20th anniversary. So start planning your “20” theme!
